By adding new excipients and antioxidants, controlling the ionic state of the solution, and relying on a strict and special patented process, C&O has solved the problem of small solubility of edaravone, tending to form dimer precipitation and thus leading to possible product secondary stroke, and it has improved the standard and controlled the content of impurities such as dimer and phenylhydrazine, ensuring that Xidaan® is purer and safer.

On May 30, 2012, C&O received the invention patent certificate for “A method for the preparation and detection of edaravone dimer and its mutual isomers”.
